So I was having cookie problems in my forum, and some searching led me to using repair_settings.php to fix those cookie problems. However, after I ran repair_settings (using recommended values) I got this:

Template Parse Error!
It seems something has gone sour on the forum with the template system. This problem should only be temporary, so please come back later and try again. If you continue to see this message, please contact the administrator.

You can also try refreshing this page.

???

I really don't know what went wrong because that was the last admin thing I did today. Any help would be appreciated on this one.

EDIT: I am using 1.1.13, if that helps.

Hello, here's my index.template.php file from the Default theme. Did a quick scan and saw nothing wrong though. Oh well, must've missed something. ;D

Thanks! :)

Wow! Worked like a charm. After reuploading, I was able to revert to my custom theme again. Thanks much, especially for sifting through the template file! ;D

InstilledBee

Hi, seems you did have exactly the same problem as mine, so I thought I'd help.

Line 172 was missing a semicolon. You can do the edit yourself or download the attachment. :D Hope this helps. :)

Funny, the code on that part is the nCode image resizer. That mod seems to have problems. ???

Illori

looks like something happened to your default theme, use this link http://www.gsrevolution.com/index.php?theme=1 to reset your theme and go in your admin panel and select a new default theme for your users and the error should go away.

Illori

also i deleted your other thread as you mentioned the issue here. please keep to one thread per issue.

I am almost in the exact same boat...  But I am also a code novice... Actually stay well away unless it is the last option...

1: I am running 1.1.14
2: Performed  Find and repair any errors.
3: OPPPS   Empty out unimportant logs as well

I then went to look at my profile and went to change  my  theme and things seemed to go a bit slow... And had to log out.

Now I get when ever I logon as that user...

syntax error, unexpected T_STRING, expecting ',' or ';'

If I try the Default  xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx/ forum / index.php? theme=1  it also fails...

If I change it to theme2 or theme3 or theme4 I can login...

I can not change Themes from my profile and if I attempt to do so; I get the dreaded error.

NOTE: As best I can tell all other users using the default template / theme are not having a problem and I can log on as myself and all seems OK.   Have not tried to change to one of the other themes.

The user I have stuffed up is ONE of the Admin logins and I was not sure if deleting and then re creating with teh same Name would fix the problem...

If it is likely to be a simple user fix, then I am happy to give it a go, if not then I guess a delete and re create is my only other option...

Any help would be much welcome.

EDIT:  Tried to change to another Theme from my normal account and it gave the same error...

So the issue is common and a solution is needed...
