ive read a lot of topics on this but I can't seem to get past the first step. I have ran the repair settings file, my entire directory is 777. I put in my ftp info hit connect takes me right back to the same page. Disabled security 0 to 1, does the same... I am so not understanding what is wrong here.

This is a linux box and I do have root access to it if that is of any help.

You are using the web installer or the files from the 2.0 upgrade package?

Ron_W

This is a manual upgrade (package). I uploaded the files to the server, overwriting existing ones.

Ron_W

Tried the web installer just Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/*/public_html/beta2/webinstall.php:2) in /home/*/public_html/beta2/webinstall.php

some servers have issues with the webinstall, it is best most of the time to do a normal install/upgrade.

Web install or manually uploading the files to the server: neither work they both show the same exact problem, so I can't do an upgrade ?

Illori

remove the webinstall.php from your server and try again

Ron_W

no go, takes me right back to the same page again, step 1

Illori

then upload the large upgrade pack again to your server, if that does not work and gives the exact same error about webinstall, i have no idea what to suggest.

Ron_W

Yep thats pretty much where I stand no one seems to know I guess.

Hi Ron_W, any updates to this? Have you been able to upgrade, and if so did you find out what caused this?
