I still observing my forum, seem that some posts I have created before install this mod will not effected. All after are effected!

That's correct, all posts and topics made before installation of this mod will have last edit by.
All new posts will no longer see last edit by.

However, if you modify the posts that was done before mod was installed and then click save it should no longer show last edit by ;)

sadly even if i modify a post done before mod was installed after install it does not hide the line, it shows the updated time.

Ah yes, that's right, all posts before the mod was installed will not be effected, meaning, they will always display "« Last Edit: by »".

I'm sorry for the confusion. :-[

I'm working on the next update (v1.5)

I have added 1.1.xx support along with 2.0 RCx and 2.0, 2.0.1 ;)

If there are more suggestions for language translations, I'll include them in the package as well.

I am still working on an enable / disable feature in admin cp for 1.1.xx.

I originally had Enable or Disable "« Last Edit: by »" for Administrators Mod

I still gotta get the enable / disable to work in 1.1.xx, so I will change the line to read:
Enable or Disable "« Last Edit: by »" for Administrators Mod
Box checked = Mod enabled.
Box un-checked = Mod disabled.

That makes it a bit clearer, but still, isn't it unnecessarily complicated?
After all, the primary information is whether "« Last Edit: by »" for Administrators is displayed or not.
If this is achieved through a mod or not is secondary.
No big deal, I have changed it in my language file, so I'm happy...

Otherwise, you can choose the other way to explain it like:

- Switch this mod on
- Turn this mod on
- Active this mod
- Wipe ""admin edit" away
- ...

A lot of words to use, you no need just type enable or disable.

Do not need new translations?

Agreed and noted ;)

Good point ;) thanks m8

I'll think of something and add it in new version :)

// Disable - Enable Last Edit by for Admins
$txt['enable_disable_last_edit_by'] = 'Enable "« Last Edit: by »" for Administrators' Mod;
// Disable - Enable Last Edit by for Admins

Could you add an option to this so it would work with Global Moderators as well?

I have successfully added support for Global Moderators as well as Administrators.

However, I was working on a custom section to add the member-group ID's separated by commas like "1, 2, 3, 4, 5,", however, that caused more problems.
I have managed to add both admin and g_mod so they both get to enjoy editing posts with out the « Last Edit: by ». ;)

This new code will be added in the new version, which will be released in October. ;)

Just need translations for this new Modifications.#####.php
// Disable - Enable Last Edit by for Admins
$txt['enable_disable_last_edit_by'] = 'Enable "« Last Edit: by »" for Administrators' Mod;

Awesome thanks, will install as soon as it's released...

That's because I have changed the line
// Disable - Enable Last Edit by for Admins
$txt['enable_disable_last_edit_by'] = 'Enable "« Last Edit: by »" for Administrators Mod';

;) I did post this before that I have removed "or Disable" and added Mod on the end.

Not going to add it to the package as it's the old
// Disable - Enable Last Edit by for Admins
$txt['enable_disable_last_edit_by'] = 'Enable or Disable"« Last Edit: by »" for Administrators';

Branko.

Congratulations!!
I hope,for 1.1.xx also.... :)

I've upgrade to v1.6 - all works fine.
One thing - I've to reduce the mod name because when trying to install it by using the package manager it says "not found".
When I use for ex "DisableLE1.6.zip" then everything is okay.

here is my German translation:

<file name="$themedir/languages/Modifications.german.php" error="skip">
<operation>
<search position="end" />
<add><![CDATA[
// Disable - Enable Last Edit by for Admins
$txt['enable_disable_last_edit_by'] = 'Aktiviert "« Letzte Änderung: am/durch »" für Administratoren und Globale Moderatoren';
]]></add>
</operation>
</file>

<file name="$themedir/languages/Modifications.german-utf8.php" error="skip">
<operation>
<search position="end" />
<add><![CDATA[
// Disable - Enable Last Edit by for Admins
$txt['enable_disable_last_edit_by'] = 'Aktiviert "« Letzte Änderung: am/durch »" für Administratoren und Globale Moderatoren';
]]></add>
</operation>
</file>
