header banner resize

as you can see the "header banner" is not as wide as the theme is and for some reason it wouldnt let me to make it bigger.
if i look into style.css in admin section, my banner in a preview is wider than theme is, but in the actual page is still resized.

could you pls tell me what is limiting my banner size?

Your banner is 1024 wide. Your theme (Black Rain) may be limiting. What is it like using SMF default theme (Curve)?

If OK with SMF default check with theme developer for the answer.

If still lacking width, check this help page for details in changing forum width.

If your forum width is set to greater than 1024 then the banner will not fit. You need to edit in image editor to make wider. Remember not all users have wide screen.
