My menu and images disappeared!

So I recently upgraded my forum to the latest SMF version online, and everything was OK, but today,I changed the theme to another one I had donwloaded and the menu had disappeared, as well as the NEW TOPIC images, etc. I tried it with more themes but they all do the same :S

any suggestions?

Chances are theme you changed to is not compatible with the version of SMF you are using
yousite/index.php?theme=1 will get you back to the default theme
