Changing domain names

I recenlty acquired some space.  With it came a free domain that I had to put in when registration took place.

Now I have the domain name we wanted pointing to it with the right dns  etc.

Here is my problem

I would like to have the recently acquired domain name as the main one.

I am using cPanel usually use Plesk.

I have the http://sarasotaofficer.com as the forum url in the database and path section (in the admin section)

I'm not sure what you're asking us in particular, from what it seems you're trying to fix the paths? Try repair_settings.php (What is repair_settings.php?), or if you actually need help doing the domain shift, ask your host for assistance

You could also forward your previous domain to your current domain so if someone types in you previous URL is will automatically be directed to your new site.

But, like Baby Daisy, I too am not quite sure what you are asking? Simply making a suggestion.
