Packages field, is blank page!!! Please help.

Good day to everyone.

I'm not an SMF expert, so please be patient with me and forgive my poor English.

I've got a problem. The "packages" field is a blank page... I want to upgrade or install some modules...and I can't do it. Why is this happening? How shall i correct this?

SMF 1.1.13 installed, but this problem is not new, Packages empty page, existed since 1.1.11 ver.
And its not only that... few days ago, Avatars are disapeared (those uploaded with imageshack), the module "thumbnailtopic" is not working...

  When you browse your /packages  and /packages/backups dirs via an ftp client, do you see any files there ?
