Mod Problem

I am sing SMF 2 RC 5 .
Using the package manager i installed some mods.
The package manager said it was installed without any problem.
However I can not see the changes made by them.
Can anyone help me.

it may be related to your file permissions if you have a linux server. have you tried to reset file permissions? admin -> package manager -> file permissions you can use a predefined permission profile if you dont know what do to here

I tried the file permissions and that too doesnt make any mod work.

you can check the hosting board, there is a list of free hosts there as well. but no host actually supports smf, they will just provide the hosting for you to use.

However i installed RC 5 from scratch myself

i just tried to upload a zip to ueuo, its very, very slow and timed out before it uploaded.

The host i linked to uses cpanel and is faster.

By the way, free hosts are ok to start with, to get to know your way around and learn stuff, they are very rarely, if ever, suitable for anything more than that.
