I have changed all the files and moved them into filezilla, but this is where I'm confused.

First off I cannot find all of these files, and secondly I'm not sure what the "root directory" is. Also what do I do with the install 1-1.php?

install1-1.php
This file should be able to execute standalone.
File Operations

Your root-dir is the dir where settings.php is in.

What's the error? Maybe the version you're trying to install is not compatible with your version of SMF. Please provide me details so that we can help you out.

PortaMx is probably the best SMF portal!
