At least one user unable to stay logged in

Hi again.*

Last time i had an issue, a user was having trouble staying logged in, and the only error or possible wrongness i could find on the SMF side of things was an out of date file (Subs.php, iirc)

With your help, i was able to update (or rather, repair, since it was up to date, but said otherwise) the file, and the user's troubles went away around the same time (but not exactly the same time)

Well, now it's certain the two issues were unrelated, as his troubles are back.

Brock tells me the issue has resurfaced.  :-[

Yeah....it's back.  ???  And it's only with this webcomic forum site and one other, 'Bats in the Belfry'.  These are the only two that I now have to manually log onto every time I visit.

LainaaIf not, please empty your browser cache and clear your cookies, to ensure that the tweak takes effect.

If, after that, it still isn't fixed, let me know, and i'll try something else.

*Sigh*  Still having to log in every time.  Even to answer this PM.. :(..and I'd logged in to post on 3 other threads beforehand and checked the 'stay logged in' button as well.  I've dumped the cache, cookies and history and rebooted.....still no go.  I've even run a 'System Restore' back to nearly the beginning of the month to make sure I was past when this started happening.....still no joy, no cigar.

Frustrating as hell.....but I DO thank you and Brock for all your help.

Now, that other forum he mentioned is running PHPBB, apparently phpBB2, so the issue is probably on his end, but it seems he has tried most everything, and so i was wondering if anyone could shed some light on the matter

*(i changed my display name, and i've only made a few posts, so don't fret if you don't recognize me.)

A long shot, but if both boards are using the same cookie name, the user will have to log in every time he switches boards.  It would not affect users who are not using the other board.  You can try changing your cookie name.

When in Emor, do as the Snamors.
