Problems with SMF upgrade to 2.0 - odd symbols showing up, editing tools missing

Hi there,

I have recently upgraded to SMF 2.0 and the forums are functioning. However, I am having an issue with odd symbols showing up (for example, a colon in place of 'search' and 'latest member' and text/options missing from the forums. Also the editing options have disappeared from above the input box, when you are creating a new post.

The link to the forums is hxxp:newbloods.co.uk/forums [nonactive]. I'm not sure whether it is relevant, but I have the forums wrapped within Joomla 1.5.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Try to update your language files.
After that clear your forumcache.

What language do you use ?

are you sure your theme is compatible with 2.0 rc5? looks like either your theme is not, or your language files are outdated.
