Hi all

Im looking for theme for 2.0RC5 there is black and white. It has to be like the default theme (curve?) because im using danish language and want to keep it that way :)

You can see it here whsforum.dk/forum. I want the theme to match the custom header a bit more

You could make a copy of the curve theme and then modify the colours to suit if you have a bit of patience to try a bit of experimenting. You would have to edit the css in the themes folder. You can be sure then nothings going to break as well plus im sure members here good with themes will give some good pointers if you get stuck.

To K@

Does it not matter what theme im taking? If all the buttons have to be in danish. I think it has to be a curve one, dosent it? and does it not have to be a 2.0RC5? or can I use any there is 2.0XXX?

Most v2.x themes will work, though not all.

The language of the buttons, etc. will be controlled by the language files.

Hi

Im thinking of using this theme http://custom.simplemachines.org/themes/index.php?lemma=2131

Do you think it will work ok? What about the mods I have installed. Do I have to reinstall those??

Depends on the mods and which files they edit.

Antechinus

2.0 will install mods on custom themes if they pass the pre-installation check, but it wont install mods on any theme you install after the mods are in place. This is because the mod install script is a one time deal.

Good news is that since that theme you want is a basic Curve variant, it should only contain index.template.php and a couple of css files, which means that unless a mod edits those particular files then it wont need to be reinstalled. That should cut the amount of work.

Be aware though that themes for earlier versions of 2.0 may have some minor glitches in them when run on RC5 and Final, due to the various css changes that have been made for bug fixes. The glitches shouldn't be a major drama and sorting them out shouldn't be that difficult. Best way to find out is to just try the theme and see how it looks. Alternatively, wait for the theme author to do an updated version.

Thanks for replies

The author of the theme says it works on RC5 :)
