I have changed from one ISP to another. Speaking of from comcast to att. I need to redo my email address as the suffix will affect my forum. How do I do that. I have not done this before and I want to get it right the first time.

Thought I had replied to this, but don't see the post.

Anyway, your email address is set in your Profile, which shouldn't affect the forum, and in Server Settings, where it is used for email notifications to members, and will affect the forum.

Admin -> Server Settings -> Webmaster Email Address

When in Emor, do as the Snamors.

I was thinking, from a previous mistake which to my forum off line, that I need to change this on my server first so that it did not break communication to my site. Correct?

Is this still an issue you need assistance with? I'm sorry, but I really do not understand your question...

This is from core configurations, admin, email address. The old one is disconnected and I need to change that one on the admin of the site itself. Sorry, I am in and out as all most of us. Just want to reset the email to my home site email and get rid of the ISP email address. Does this make more sense to help me?

The admin email address specified in SMF is only the e-mail address SMF uses to to send out notifications and such - in theory it doesn't even need to be a working address, if you are using PHP to send the mails...
