Hello,

How can i hide post counts for staff? like Adminstrator and some membergroups i choose??

Because like you see a Adminstrator and got Hero member ... :S??

Thanks

Well there are LOTS of different places the post count is displayed. In the topic view (Display.template.php), in the Member list view (Memberlist.template.php), in the profile view (Profile.template.php). So if you want to hide the post count you have to surround the code that outputs the post count with a check.

For Display.template.php fine this code:
// Show how many posts they have made.
echo '
', $txt[26], ': ', $message['member']['posts'], '<br />
<br />';

Then put a check around it for a groups.
// Show how many posts they have made.
$groupIDs = array(3,4,6);
if (array_intersect($groupIDs, $user_info['groups']))
echo '
', $txt[26], ': ', $message['member']['posts'], '<br />
<br />';

Change the groupIDs numbers to be those of the groups you want to check. This will only show to the group ID numbers you put in the array.

I do not know these codes :S

How i do that :S

And group ID is Name?

Illori

i dont think so, they want to hide the post count group not the actual post count.

kat

I was thinking that it might work, with a bit of modification.

Maybe a post in the mod's support topic, asking that?

Illori

i think this should be a separate mod, as would need permissions per usergroup as to which group shows the post count group etc. but it cant hurt to ask that author if they could add something like this.

I don't think so Illori. The title says post count. The just want to be able to select which groups get to see post count.

Group ID is the number you see if you hover your mouse over the group link when you are in Admin > Members > Member Groups. You should se group=X in the link.

You just add the groupID's that you need to the code I posted for you. The code I posted above will remove the post count in the topic display for any group you do not include in the code.

K@'s mod link he posted, I think it removes the post count for all.

Illori

well they mention hero and that is a post count group. i read it as some groups can show the post count group and others would not.

So.. ? :S

I tried that mod , and it doesn't work for all themes ... :S

IchBin™

Well since there's no clarification or any response to my posts I'll just bow out. :) Good luck guys.
