Modertor Posting Only Board

How can I set up a board that only the moderator of that board can post in? I have looked and looked at permissions but cannot find anything. I have tried searching for Announce Only etc. Anyone able to help me will be greatly appreciated.

Create a new board.

Create a new membergroup and put the moderators in that group.

Make the new board only available to the new membergroup.

"Moderators" is NOT a membergroup, you see...

Well the problem is that I need to be able to have everyone see the information on the board just not be able to post in it. We are using it for pictures that people will need tbe able to see to do the work we do.

You do that in Adin>Boards and the permissions, there, for each board.

Let me explain we are an online volunteer group that works with missing and UID persons. The photos in the board are post mortem photos that we use in our work. We just want particular membergroups to be able to see them but no one else to be able to post in that particular board. I tried finding something to make the board an announcement only board but that doesn't seem to be available or I am looking in the wrong place.

admin -> permissions -> settings enable advanced by-board permissions check this then you can create local permissions per board and set them as you want.

Admin>Boards and the permissions, there, for each board.

Click "Permissions", beside the board you create.

You'll get a list of your membergroups.

First, check the "Access" checkbox, for membergroups to SEE posts.

Click on "Modify", beside the one you want to set other permissions for.

Change the permissions, to suit.

I did all of that so hopefully it will work. I went to settings and checked A for those membergroups I wanted to be able to see the board. I then went back to board and modify to check who I wanted to be able to post. I hope that was right.  I really appreciate your help today.

you might want to double check things, you may need to deny ability to post for other groups if they are normally able to post.
