How do I install SMF from one path(domain) to another path?

ohhhdear

I am using 1.1.13 Core Default.

I have 2 domains--- but it's the same material.

Let me try to explain with examples.

This is what I am using now--->
www.mydomain.com  which points to my main page which happens to be a blog  on Wordpress.
The SMF forum currently has this url----- mydomain.com/forum

But I also have another similar domain
mydomains.com (this domain has a "s" at the end of domain)---
I am wanting to make the mydomains.com to be the main page, which is SMF .

So, I am wanting to find a way to re-arrange what I have now.

I want to change the SMF forum to go from mydomain.com/forum to mydomain.com --- in order to make SMF the main page..

So how can I install SMF from one path to another path? What files do I need or what do I need?

I also realize I might have to uninstall  the Wordpress blog--because that is currently on the main page.

Thank you for any help or insight.

You have to whip a forum to change the address data to the main page and not a directory in the config file forum. This is all to run on the front page - but beware, you will need przeindeksować forum for search engines

Thanks,,,,, but I have questions.

1. How do I move my files to the new location?

2. I downloaded repair settings.php---BUT where do I save that? To my computer, my documents, or the C drive?

3. Where do I find the root directory for SMF?

Thanks for your time and patience! :)

you need to use ftp to move the files from one location to the other, you can initially save the repair_settings.php file to anywhere but it needs to be uploaded to your server to the same folder that settings.php is located in. the root directory for smf is the folder that settings.php is located in.
