Favicon and footer

How do i add favicon to my forum and also edit footer information.

There's a copyright mod for the footer. http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/index.php?mod=1317 Or you could edit things yourself, by going into your theme's directory, and finding index.template.php, although make sure you DO NOT remove the SMF copyright!

As for the Favicon, I think a fresh install of 1.1.13, and 2.0RC5 have a default favicon included. To which you could overwrite the default favicon image with your own.

Footer file icon index.template.php a forum is simply a file with the name given to the root server

A favicon is just a 16x16 or 32x32 image, saved in .ico format (favicon.ico, specifically) and saved to the root of your site.

You don't need anything else.

Some browsers can take a while to recognise it, though.
