Just another banner alignment question.

Arvo All,

After thinking that my banner was in alignment someone told me that they had to scroll to the right because the banner extended past the forum width.  After playing around with different screen settings it occurs at about the 1024 by 768 area.  I made the banner smaller, and it does look better but I can't get it centered.  Even without being centered at the lower resolution it stretches it and although not perfect, it will do.  The only reason I want it centered is so that it looks better with the higher resolutions.

I think that part of the problem is that I remarked out the code that creates a table for the banner and maybe that is why everything I try doesn't effect its alignment, although don't quote me on that.  I removed the table because I couldn't figure out how to get rid of the dang border and change the bg color, but can easily be put back in.  I am loading it through the admin pannel and any help would be appreciated.

I am running 1.1.13 and the site is in sig for you to view what I am talking about.

Thank you for your input.

Hello there.

If you are talking about banner that you have in your footer, just before a href code add this:
<p align="center">
and after </a> add:
</p>

That should do the trick :)

Regards.

Even Dzonny,

Like the avatar, don't suppose the quote is in regards to BOC hit.

Thanks for the quick response, not sure where you are talking about in regards to the footer banner unless it is that stupid lickbuddies banner that I have to dump.  I am talking about the main top banner and depending on the resolution will depend on how it looks to you.  I am running 1366x768 so it is all the way to the left to me.  If I'm not mistaking, the code that controls it all is right around line 200 in the index.template.php file, I have made changes to mine so it is around that area.

I really hate how the banner is stretched for lower resolutions so I would rather it just be centered and not stretched but not sure how to do that either, I think it has something to do with the style width being 100% or something.  It just makes it kinda look stretched.

Any more help would be appreciated.

Thank you for your time,

Hm, on your site (from signature) i can only see banner in footer and google ads.
Maybe youre talking about logo in header? If so, please attach your index.template.php to your next post to see it.

Regards.

Morn Dzonny,

Don't know what I was typing, it is my logo that i created.

I attached the index.template.php file, you will see where I remarked out the table and removed the code for the smflogo.

Thanks for helping me out on this.

No problems, please try with this.

Thanx Dzonny, really appreciate it.  One quick question then I will mark this as resoloved.

I noticed that you used <p> & </p>.  What is the difference between that and the <td> and </td> ?

I only tried the <td> part.

Dzonny

Well you can also use td if you want, but i didnt because you removed table.
If you want you can try with:
<td align="center">
