Can you attach /public_html/mkaforum/Themes/MKALive/index.template.php?

Ooh hiya stranger.

Until I did a couple more edits that was all I had on screen.

Now I see:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected $end in xxxxxx/public_html/xxxxx/Themes/MKALive/index.template.php on line 586

Will let ya know what it says in a few.

Mashby not seen you for a very long long time.

I've been drunk in a corner in some remote region of the world. Same is true right now.

Anyways here is the attached file.

Mashby ya look better green than grey.

mashby

Are you comfortable with a shot in the dark? I changed this:
<li>
<a', $grandchildbutton['active_button'] ? ' class="active"' : '', ' href="', $grandchildbutton['href'], '"', isset($grandchildbutton['target']) ? ' target="' . $grandchildbutton['target'] . '"' : '', '>
<span', isset($grandchildbutton['is_last']) ? ' class="last"' : '', '>', $grandchildbutton['title'], '</span>
</a>
</li>';

to this:
<li>
<a href="', $grandchildbutton['href'], '"', isset($grandchildbutton['target']) ? ' target="' . $grandchildbutton['target'] . '"' : '', '>
<span', isset($grandchildbutton['is_last']) ? ' class="last"' : '', '>', $grandchildbutton['title'], '</span>
</a>
</li>';
The gray hairs were making me feel weird, so I went with the green mohawk. I also notice that the attached file is for RC4...is that what your site is on?

At present the forums in maintenance mode due to the 2.0 upgrade.

mashby

OK, then if I'm not mistaken, the index.template.php will be overwritten during your upgrade. I see the line 586 error is gone and a much more generic error is displaying now.

Strange thing is before I did 2 edits I had the same error I have now.

I am assuming it may be due to the Thank o matic mod and the load file.

mashby

Yeah, it now seems to be Load.php. :)

Eventually went to bed at 6am  :o

Anyways

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_IF, expecting ';' in /home/xxxxx/public_html/xxxxxx/Sources/Load.php on line 748

File attached.

mashby

OK, let's go with these questions. The files you have attached all mention RC4. And you stated earlier that you were in maintenance mode trying to upgrade to 2.0. Is that what you are trying to do? You also mention editing files. What were you trying to do there? Do you have backups of the files you were trying to edit before these errors came up?

TheListener

ooh hello again.

Slight misunderstanding there Mashby.

I'm in the middle of uninstalling the mods so I can start the upgrade to 2.0

ɔɔɔɔɔɔuɥoɾ

How many mods down, how many to go, and which ones are they?

Ah ya found the topic before me John.

All mods have been uninstalled.

ɔɔɔɔɔɔuɥoɾ

If all mods have been uninstalled, you can go ahead and overwrite everything with the upgrade files, then execute upgrade.php :)
