Forum Error Log

Hi guys, I keep getting the following error from a guest.

"Only administrators can make database backups!"

My question is, how is this person even getting to the Forum Maintenance area of the website? Noone but me has that permission. It's the same ip doing it over and over again.

i think he doesn't.
chances are, he knows the url to get the backup, but the forum denies it because he lacks the permission.

Agree with Mike72. Just ban the ip (in htaccess if you do not want to see it in the error log).

an ip ban does you no good as most people have dynamic ip addresses which change.

Hey guys thank's for the help. I googled searched the ip and found other people seen this same IP.

It's Microsoft SmartScreen Filter scanning the website.

"SmartScreen Filter is a feature in Internet Explorer that helps detect phishing websites"

in this case it would have done the job, if needed.
