does smf 2.0 use less disk space than 1.12?

my /forum folder was 50MB in version 1.12, but now it's just 11MB with version 2.0?

is this possible? seems odd to me...

Did you maybe have mods, avatars, images, attachments, smilies or something other then the default theme in 1.12 that is now no longer in 2.0?

I installed a few avatars and smilies but I removed some avatars too, actors and musicians... perhaps that is why the file is so much smaller?

If you have some mdos it saves backups to packages/backups folder
