Installed fresh SMF 2.0. Ran phpbb3 to smf 2.0 converter.

Everything finished fine, so it seemed.

Every post on SMF after the conversions has this on it:

Any ideas how to remove or fix this if I were to run the converter again because I am not going to use this conversion.

Edit: Found my own fix already on the board here: http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=346705.msg2913196#msg2913196
Thanks in advance.

mine did the same thing, luckily i didnt have a ton of post yet when i converted because i only used phpbb3 a week, I basically went through and modified every post, didnt really modify anything, just clicked it then saved again lol and it posted current date, if it doesnt bother you I wouldnt worry with it but thats what i did  :D

or you can just go to your teme settings and just uncheck the "Show last modification date on modified posts: ...... it wont show the last edit

I know this is a dated topic.. but I was able to fix this problem by entering this SQL query in phpMyAdmin:

UPDATE `smf_messages` SET `modified_name` = '' WHERE `modified_name` = 'Guest'

Apparently "Guest" gets entered into "modified_name" table under the "smf_messages" column in the database for all of the posts that were never actually edited in the first place. This didn't affect legitimately edited posts however. Seems like it's just a bug with the conversion script for phpBB.. hopefully it gets fixed soon. Hope this works for you!
