Need some help. Urgent

I am using the 1.1.14 version of smf.

I need the following help :

1. SSI _ examples : display the latest topics from a specific board or category
2. SSI _ examples : display the latest posts from a specific board or category

3. In a particular board only the topic starter and the moderators can reply and not others

in what way do you want the posts/topics from a board/category? you are not giving us much to work with here.

I want do display display "the latest topics from a specific board or category" & "the latest posts from a specific board or category" in a external php page.

also I want to set permissions on a particular category or board where only the topic starter and the moderators can reply and not others.

to set the permissions you need to create a local permission set for that board with the permissions you want

admin -> permissions -> settings enable advanced by-board permissions then set the permissions by boards., but i am not sure how well that may work for you though.
