I recently installed the copyright mod and then noticed that I had two extra links I hadnt seen before.
"SMFAds for Free Forums"
I have uninstalled the MOD but they are still there.

I would have preferred my own copyright to be larger than the SMF one too!

Whilst I do not mind the SMF copyright link do I have to have the other two?
One is for create a forum website!

Other SMF sites do not have these links.  Were they part of the recent upgrade to 1.1.14?

Illori

you would have to contact the mod authors that put those copyrights in place and get permission to remove them which most likely would require to be paid removal.

Topman

If these extra links have been added as part of the MOD then there should eb a warning on the mOD page.
Those that are happy having two extra links on their website for very little benefit can then have the MOD those that dont would know not to load it.

I have had a look at the MOD files and cannot see anything to suggest the mod has this but I know very very little about php!

Illori

mod authors are not required to add any warning as to the fact that they add a copyright. as said above if you wish to remove the copyright contact the author of the mod.

Topman

I managed to do it myself!

AND very pleased I am too!

Illori

now you are in trouble with the author of that mod which you dont have PERMISSION to modify or remove the copyright.

Topman

Look the MOD is UNINSTALLED.
I dont want it - and I certainly dont want the trace it left behond after it was uninstalled.

Illori

if you had said that in the first place you would have gotten directions on how to remove it, otherwise we do not support users removing copyrights.
