You NEED to contact your host, so that they allow this.

Seems like a bad hosting provider to me.

purepks0r

thats what they told me;

<Ed>: You'll need to contact the author of the software or refer to their documentation Purepks0r
<Purepks0r>: is there a way i can install the package from Zilla FTP?
<Ed>: well zlib is just used to unzuip a package so if you knew where the software was trying to unzip it to, then yes

I exactly dont know what to do - yesi m new to this ******

Eudemon

then try to unzip the package on ur local machine
put it into a folder and upload the folder to package folder through ftp

You can't upload a single folder, you would have to first create a folder directory and then upload all the contents of the folder in your desktop, into that directory on the host's server.

Honestly, your hosting provider must be trash and seem unhelpful to me, only the lazy ones point fingers at the script maker. I don't see why they don't have unzipping enabled... I recommend your change host and choose another provider... heck, even oversellers have all this enabled.

Just a recommendation.

purepks0r

Okey i did it it givesm e a error in the website wen i clicked install mod

Error in Package Installation
At least one error was encountered during a test installation of this package. It is strongly recommended that you do not continue with installation unless you know what you are doing, and have made a backup very recently. This error may be caused by a conflict between the package you're trying to install and another package you have already installed, an error in the package, a package which requires another package that you don't have installed yet, or a package designed for another version of SMF.

Never heard of that O.o But I will check it out.

I've only used FileZilla, which is pretty much the most popular FTP client and was never able to just drag a file into the FTP account. This was in the past of course, now I use Cpanel for everything :)
