[FREE] Facebook Group Integration to SMF

I run a site for a local diving club.  We like many other groups also have a groups page on facebook since everybody uses facebook now.

My idea would be to integrate SMF using the graph API so that we could access the content stored on the clubs facebook group page.  Then once established the idea would be to create blocks like that which are used in Simple Portal / Tiny Portal etc.  So it would be possible to have an album block were you would just set the album id then with some javascript you could have a photo roll.  Similarly we could use the content to fill an RSS feed.  Or access videos stored on facebook.

With the way the graph API works I guess you would either have to use the administrators facebook details (assuming he is a member of that group, which may not always be true) or create a dummy account in facebook who is a member of that group.  Then we have some authentication details then I believe you just retrieve JSON objects back.

What do we think?  Is this viable?  Is it even a good idea?  I know I would use it but wondering if other would also.
