signature links not workin

I have smf 1.1.14 installed
signature links in myforum are not working

they are being displayed as follows

anchor text (http : / / w w w website . com )

whats wrong ?

do I replace the file which shows signatures in threads? if so what is the file name ?

If there is no solution for my problem then kindly suggest me which files should I copy so that this problem is resolved.
or do I need to reinstall smf once again?
