No reload after posting or sending PM.

Increasing problem with reload of page after posting or sending PMs. Waiting results in a HTTP 500 error.
The postings and PMs are registered when user returns to the forum pages.
The server has no problem with the load.

The problem started a few months ago (forum been running since october 2008), and I just upgraded to version 2.0 to see if the problem would go away.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

who is your host? i am betting this is a host configuration issue, with an oversold host.

The host is running in my computer dept. at work, and this is not a performance issue.

usually those that have issues with page loading etc have issues with their server configuration. also a 500 error is a server error not one smf would create.

Server configuration yes, but can you (or anyone) help me ?
Otherwise I would not have posted this problem.

I have not changed anything on the Abyss webserver since install in october 2008, and the problem arised without any changes in the previous SMF version.

i would suggest you post in the server configuration board and include a link to your php.ini file.
