Mail settings issue

How do I get SMF to send mail from my domain name - instead of the mail servers domain name?

I'm not sure how I missed this before, but when PM's are sent out - they are received like this (eg gmail) :

from: PogoCheats.net via mail.whatever.com
to: [email protected]
mailed-by: mail.whatever.com


When I normally send mail from my domain (not via the forum), they are received like this (eg gmail):

from: [email protected]
to: [email protected]
mailed-by: pogocheats.net
signed-by: pogocheats.net


The mail is signed properly by DKIM (which is important).

Since the forum software sends out emails using my mail servers domain (mail.whatever.com), they are NOT signed, looks unprofessional and not getting delivered to yahoo, aol (and any other place that requires all mail to be signed by DKIM).

How would I fix this?

Changing the settings from "PHP Default" to "SMTP" solved this issue.
