Radius corners

Picked up this code in a thread recently (can't find it), and finally got around to trying it -

border: 3px solid #000; -moz-border-radius: 5px; -webkit-border-radius: 5px; border-radius:  5px;

Works in FF3.5, not in IE8.  It's been my understanding that border-radius doesn't work in IE, but comments in the thread indicated otherwise.  Anyone know how to do it?

IE8 doesn't support border-radius only IE9 does, it you want rounded corners in pre-IE9 you have to do it with images.

The border-radius is a CSS3 property and if you are not bothered about older browsers you don't need to use the moz/webkit you just need the border-radius property.

Personally I don't care about older browsers, if people are too lazy to update their browsers or spout off about how great older versions are then they can look at a site that has corners squarer than a house brick - updates are free so they got no excuse.

Nobody uses FF3.5 any more either. The current stable version is FF5. 3.5 isn't even supported by Mozilla any more.

With some help, you can make IE6-8 have radius corners with CSS.

Looks like that's an IE addon.  Would work for me, but not my users.  Not much point to that.

Actually, it is FF5.0.  Never use FF except for proofing code (looks like crap, and very slow), and forgot I'd updated it.

It's not an add-on. It's something you put in your server and call up via CSS. I've been using it for about a year now. Works great.

I'll take another look and give it a try.

Got it.  The demos on their website don't work, but I'm seeing the radius corners on my 2.0 install in IE8.  Hopefully everyone sees it that way.

Thx, mashby.
