I can't see my forums at all and I have no clue why? I go on my site homepage, I click on 'Forum' and the screen goes white. Why?

How do things look from an FTP perspective? Are there any folders/files in your /forum folder?

Yes! Everything is there, I just can't see the forum at all.

Wondering if something went afoul with your index.php file then? This file at least returns some info:
ssi_examples.php
From that page, I can see the last post was at 07/23/11, 12:56:30 PM
Might you have installed any mods or done anything with your site since then?

My gut reaction is that your index.php file is having a bad day.

I didn't install anything..  would you like to check the file to see if its all good?

mashby

I think that would be helpful yeah. Mind uploading the index.php file from /forum folder?

Not at all! It should appear right under me, I think?

I see some mods installed. I'd guess you've had them installed before July 23, 2011, yeah?
Favicon something
SimplePortal
Aeva Media
Is there a Settings.php file in the same folder? Please don't attach it as it contains a lot of sensitive information. Wondering if that might be the next culprit? I can find files I know exist on your site just fine (images), it's just index.php that isn't having a good time today. Maybe check with your host and see if any server changes have been made?

:/ This is so frustrating! I'll ask him, hopefully by tonight and see. But yes, there is a Settings file under /forum.

What is the last modification that you did before you got the white page? Something must have caused it. If it started out of the blue then contact your host then and ask them about it. It might be a misconfiguration on their servers.

The last mod was Simple Portal, but that was like 2-3 months ago. It just happened out of the ordinary..

My forum was hacked and all my database was said to be deleted, any idea what I can do next?

Illori

My host look and he hasn't found anything. :/

Illori

did you check yourself as well? you got no backup at all? your host has no backup either? if your host does not do backups now is a great time to go find a new host that does.

I am looking at my files through FTP. All the files looks completely fine? I honestly don't get why my forums couldn't be seen?

Illori

the database is not in the files it is in mysql [an application] so you need to find out the database name and see if it is in mysql, most people use phpmyadmin as an interface to mysql.

What does your error log(the one in your servers control panel) say when you go to the forums home page?
