So my friend thought it would be cool to install this mod called "Battle" Little did he know it broke the site . I can't get in the admin section what so ever. Whats the best way to run a repair and uninstall this mod?

There is actually a package parser built in the mod site here, just select the version of the mod you have installed, and the version of SMF you are running, and see the manual install instructions. For uninstallation of mods, you simply reverse the installation instructions ;)

Is the whole site down, or just the admin section. Does it give a DB error, or does the link do nothing. Please be more specific...

Screenshots?

I attached a screenshot. No matter what I do I can't get this mod uninstalled and I don't have an admin panel or nothing

try http://yourwebsite.com/index.php?action=admin

Replace the URL yourwebsite.com with the address where the site is. It looks like all it did was break the menu, but the links should still be working. Mostly likely an error in your Subs.php

What doesn't work? You login the admin package, go to packages, and uninstall the battle mod.

I don't understand what your asking for?

Miles Marshall

It's not letting me go into the admin section to uninstall the mod.

The link works for me, but it doesn't allow me because I'm not the admin.

download and look at your Settings.php. Make sure everything is correct in terms of who the admin is.

You will have to manually remove the mod.

Open the package, look at install.xml or something like that. Revert the changes it implicates. However, since it did not install properly, that doesn't mean reverting the changes will work properly either. It would have been best to restore a backup.

Always make a backup before install mods or making major changes to your forum. Even make a backup before you try to revert changes.

Anyone wanna take a shot in fixing this? I give up
