Put mini-banner under the menù

I am a user italian.

I had a problem with a mini-banner under the menù. When I edit the file index.template.php, appears this error:

Template Parse Error!

I would the mini-banner under the menù so: hxxp:img842.imageshack.us/img842/2264/230720112031.png [nonactive]

Can I write the my file index.template.php? So you can edit this file and I can replace with the correct mini-banner under the menù.
