did upgrade and that turned out ok, when I tried to change theme, and chose gone fishing it came up but won't let me get into admin section to revert back to default. I am stuck with gone fishing theme.  how do I fix this?

Illori

try adding index.php?theme=1 to your url and go in the admin panel to reset the theme, if this does not work try What is repair_settings.php? and only use the part to reset the theme.

Thank you that worked, one other question if you don't mind, I keep getting this error in a red box on top and don't know how to fix it.  I do what it says by clicking on the text but it does not fix it: The default theme's directory is wrong, please correct it by clicking this text.

Illori

then scroll to the bottom of the page and click the correct button to fix the paths.

donadams

which page is the correct button on, I looked in themes and cannot see it?

Illori

admin -> themes and layout -> themes and settings bottom of page attempt to reset all themes

donadams

is there another way to fix it, I tried attempt to reset all themes and it is still there?

Illori

can you take a screenshot of that page and post it here?

donadams

I have been trying to post it, I have the screenshot but I must either be doing something wrong or not doing something, I cannot seem to post it, any suggestions?

Illori

use an image hosting service or attach it to your next post

Illori

that is not the page i wanted, the page that lists the themes and paths in the admin panel and please just attach the file do not zip it up.

donadams

sorry, thought it was too big for attachment

Illori

click the link SMF default theme - curve and post theme directory path, you do not need to post a screenshot just copy the text to your next post.

lets go one step at a time. http://newenglandrailroad.com/SMF/ is your forum? the default theme you are using is not compatible with 2.0 so you need to set the default theme to one that works with 2.0. the files for the default theme seem to be in place on your server, so lets try switching you to a working theme and go from there.

donadams

can you recommend one that will work
