after ban pop up

i want to give a user a time out. but i want it to pop up and tell them why they are in a time out every time they try to log back in.

how do i do this? i have seen it done but can not figure out how to do it?

any help would be great!

You fill in the ban reason, and SMF tells it to the banned person by default - No need for anything "custom".
