Please Help! New to SMF and Getting Fatal Error!!!

when i try to access my forums i am getting this error and cannot access anything.  i have read thru forums for a solution and tried to repair thru my network host.  Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated!   I worked so hard on getting these set up and am afraid I have lost them.

i tried to add code and being the newb i am, put in wrong place. i went back and deleted and saved and this is the error i got!

does SSI.php exist on your server? it should be in the main smf folder.

I have two: SSI.php and SSI.php~

check the file permissions on that file. How do I chmod? / what is chmod? sounds like the permissions are set so that the server can not read the file. if this does not help ask your host to check the ownership on the file.
