How do i set up admin access registration?

Hello,
I keep getting bots regestering to my site i want to set SMF to do the admin registration, is there any way i can do this? i am new to this. i am using version 1.1.14

Admin > Registration > Settings >  in 'Method of registration...' choose Member Approval.

& adding the verification questions mod does wonders to keep unwanted trash away (use some forum related questions).

brilliant!! i knew i saw it somewere lol.

I might need to do another post but i have not added any mods yet..... can any one tell me how to do it without messing my sight up, i have filezilla if thats any good?
