Wordpress to one forum?

I've read that there is a way to convert wordpress articles (and comments?) to SMF but what about the following.

I want to write an article on wordpress for example, have that article show up in one of the smf forums so that users can discuss the article. In other words, I don't want users to submit comments but rather to respond in the forums.

Is there such a thing or should I simply use smf and get it over with.

If I understand you correctly, there is a mod to do that.
Search the mod site for RSS feeder, and find out if this is what you want to do.
