Hi,

I've been working with SMF 2.0, but I have some problems with Memory overload. I don't know what script is doing that, but it's generating a lot of problems in my site.

Does anybody have any idea of what can be causing this inside the SMF 2.0 code?

Help me please!

Illori

who is your host? what is your hosting package? how many users/posts/topics do you have?

aLeXmOrA

I'm in Mexico City, so my host is  Xpress Hosting

My hosting package is a server with these characteristics:
INTEL CORE 2 QUAD Q8200 4x2.33GHz 4MB Cache
RAM: 4 GB DDR2
HD: 250 GB SATA

I have now over 4,000 members in the forum and an average of 110 member register per day. Posts and topics, I don't know the exact number, but there are a lot.

Illori

who is telling you that you are having memory overload?

aLeXmOrA

I saw it on my CPanel window.

It says that I used 93% of RAM and 100% of Swap

Lol holy crap, and your cPanel still loaded?
You should check Apache status next time.

Also, what does "Cpu/memory/mySQL usage" say in "Daily Process Log" in cPanel?
I suggest you install CSF/LFD firewall, it is actually very useful with situations like this.

Additionally, do you run PHP in DSO mode or suPHP. Do you use a accellerator such as eAccellerator?
If so, keep in mind the eAccellerator that comes with cPanel doesnt fully work and will NOT run in suPHP mode. Next to that, suPHP is a major resource hog. If your site is the only site on the server, switch to DSO mode and see how it does...
