Intuitive Age

Author: Labradoodle-360
Latest Version: 1.0
Compatible With SMF: 2.0
Dedicated To: LIM and my family

Summary

Intuitive Age very simply replaces the birthdate fields on Forum Profile with nice select dropdowns similar to Facebook.

This mod also utilizes the COPPA Age restriction field in the Registration Settings and does not allow the selection of any age below the COPPA Age, if you have it enabled.

Installation

Package Manager should work in most cases. If you need to make any edits, the full list can be obtained from the Parse function on the right.

This should be the default way to do it

Much more user-friendly, in my opinion. Which is why I developed it.

Eventually, I will release an update which will use jQuery to determine how many days the month has, and disable days that are not in that month, right now, you could select day 31 in a month that does not have thirty-one days and so forth. It will also use PHP's range(); function, rather than a static array.

Enjoy!

Robert.

Great modification! :D Keep up the good work ;D

Thanks for letting me know, although that should have no affect on the mod itself.

This is a very nice template tweak, good job!

Matthew K.

Do you mean this sincerely, or is it also getting after me?

Just congratulating you on this fine idea.

Very nice - easy install. I was worried it would conflict with Ultimate Profile - it didn't. :)

Matthew K.

Thanks

Glad to hear! I would have done it Source side, but it wasn't possible in this case unfortunately.

Will there be an Update to support smf 2.0.1? I'd like to use this mod in my Eating Disorder community.

Matthew K.

Just use version emulate to "2.0" and it should work. Eventually, I'll either hand over my mods, or update them at some point hopefully.

funkythemunky

Any news for a 2.0.2 update by chance?  :)

Matthew K.

Use version emulate, it'll work fine.
