error log message

In my error log I get repeat occurances of " sorry guest, your acccount is still waiting activation" 
There are no members awaiting activation under the approvals tab.  can anyone help please

these errors occured before any  anti spam mods were in talled (4, 13, 20)

is it the same guest each time getting this message?

did you ever have registration on admin approval?

yes, admin approval in on,  I think another admin has just deleted the registration rather than decline it which may be the cause.

that could be, best to talk to that admin and see what is going on.

Thats not it, I've just gone through the registration process creating a test account, then as admin deleted that account instead of rejecting it.  when trying to log in using the test account I get the message "that user name does not exist"  and there is no entry in the error log.

There must be an entry in the SMF database that signifies that a users account is awaiting approval.  I've had a quick look, but nothing stands out.
