Hey guys,

This is most likely going to be my last post asking for help (as long as no more errors occur) and then i will try to help others as much as possible. Anyways, this is the image.

- The red rectangle is the current location.
- The blue rectangle is where I want it moved. (It was like this before but idk what happened - I think in display.template.php)
- The yellow arrow describes the {hr} that will go up after moving.

Thank you

Find this:
ul.quickbuttons
{
margin: 0.9em 11px 0 0;
clear: right;
float: right;
text-align: right;
font: bold 0.85em arial, sans-serif;
}
Much like the Search box, the top margin here is declared with 0.9em. Try 3em or something to your liking.

Hi mate,
changing it to 3px brang it down, so What I did was changed it to 0.6px, then 0.5px, all the way down to 0px bringing a difference in each change,but after 0px, im still unable to match it up as blue rectangle (piture in OP). You can still go to my site (link was sent to you earlier with permission) and look at it. So what exactly should I do now?
Thank you

Ah, misread the red/blue. Make the top margin 0em or even just 0 (measurement won't matter much with a value of 0):
ul.quickbuttons
{
margin: 0em 11px 0 0;
clear: right;
float: right;
text-align: right;
font: bold 0.85em arial, sans-serif;
}

I have looked at it live using Firebug and it looks fine to me. The stuff on the left is 2 lines of stuff and the stuff that got moved up is 1 line of stuff. Let's ask this question: Is the 0 margin OK enough? Does the site still work? I think you're really just attempting to be a perfectionist in a situation where perfect is subjective.

Hi Mash,

This is how it appears on my screen (does it appear the same on yours?)

This is how I want it to look (unless it already looks like that on your screen - it doesn't on mine)

(Used microsoft paint for the edits)

To answer your questions, Yes the site works fine. I'm not trying to be a perfectionist in this situation to be honest, as it was like this before and I don't know what happened after that.

Thanks

Well, your screen shot seems to me like maybe you have the style sheet cached. I'm not sure why test123 cannot see the Facebook image, but on another topic, that same area looks fine to me:

The problem is your screen width, nothing else.

desibees

My screen width?  :-X Explain ?
i'll try deleting cache and inform you with results

You can change .keyinfo -> width from 50% to 40% or something, but you only solve the problem for your own screen and when people create a long named topic the problem will be back.

It would be better just to tweak those buttons to not use that much space.

Akyhne

It's because the .keyinfo has a fixed width. That width is normally wider than the topic description. The keyinfo contains the description and the date of posting.

Oh okay, I understand the problem now.  ;D Glad it's not something caused by a mod.

It IS actually a mod cheasing you ;) The Facebook button. Not that there is anything wrong with it, it just taqkes more space.

There are several options, ul.quickbuttons li -> margin: 0 0 0 11px; That's the space between the bottons
ul.quickbuttons li a -> padding: 0 0 0 20px; That's the space between the link and the button
