[1.1.14] Smf packs shoutbox

I installed this package on my other forum, which was a 2.0, and it worked with my theme and was on the board index page. I wanted to install it on my 1.1.14 forum, and when I did, it wasn't showing up at all.  I think the issue is with my theme [enterprise], and the file wasn't installing into the theme.  How can I get the shoutbox to appear, and is it possible to make a block on simpleportal to have it on the front page?

I think I just barely made sense, but I'll do my best if you need clarification. :/
