Is there a mod that will allow me to limit members that are allowed to post by setting a minimum number of posts they must make first.  This is to one specific board.  Tried a search but not sure what criteria to use in the search :)

Are you using SMF 2.0?  Good.
You should be able to do this without installing a mod, using SMF's post-count-based membergroups and permission profiles.

* Go to ?action=admin;area=permissions;sa=settings and
**   Enable the option to deny permissions
**   Allow permissions for post-group-based membergroups
* Decide what number of posts you are going to require for this board
* Adjust the limits on your post-count-based membergroups to match this requirement -- suppose that you are now going to prohibit New and Junior members from posting on the board
* Create a new permission profile. Give it a useful name, perhaps based on the groups that will be disallowed from posting. Start it based on "Default" permissions. action=admin;area=permissions;sa=profiles. Use the "Create Profile" button.
* Click on the name of the new profile to edit it.
** Then, for the appropriate post-count-based membergroups you want to prohibit from doing things -- Select the "D" or "Deny" option.  No matter what other groups these new users belong to, this permission profile will DENY them the ability to post (for example) wherever this permission profile is applied.
** Save the changes to the permission profile
* Modify the board (at ?action=admin;area=manageboard, choose the modify link for the board).
** In the drop-down box labelled "Permission profile", select the permission profile you have just chosen.

By applying your new permission profile to this board, you have now denied one or two membergroups permission to post on this board -- even if they are members of the global moderators group.  The only membergroup which is immune from this denial is the administrator membergroup. It is impossible to deny any permission to the administrator membergroup.

Does that help?

well this is posted in 1.1.1* support ;)

but the general idea can work with 1.1.1* if you enable by board permissions and set local permissions for the board which act the same as a permission profile in 2.0.

I'm sorry.  I forgot which board I was in.
Does that advice help?
