Is it possible for me to make it where new members can't post under a certain amount of post. So for example:

If you don't have 10 posts, then your posts don't get posted without staff approval? I am using SMF 1.1.14 and here are the mods I have so far:

Damn.. well alright. I don't have time atm to upgrade from 1.1.14 and then converting the themes is a pain.

It shouldn't be that bad to moderate new members posts, (unless you get 100's)
You could say that you will ban any member that posts irrelevant self promoting posts or links in posts.

I find that forums that require the post to be approved before it is shown are a real pain and I would not use them as I expect most others wouldn't either!

I agree upgrading is a necessary evil, all the mods are now for 2.0 but it looks scary stuff.
