upload avatar to directory

Hi! I can't upload avator into directory. I've already set Images and avatar folder to 777 but still can't be save. Please assist me. Thanks

Your uploaded avatars may be stored in the attachments folder, check that.

Yes, as it says the attachments directory must be writable.

Hi, I am having the exact same problem. Any help would be much appreciated. I am just assuming that the upload directory is my avator directory..maybe it isn't. How can I know for sure, to ensure that whichever my upload directory is, that is is writeable...because right now my avatar dir and my attachments dir are 777.
