Changing text size on main index - help

Where do you change the font size on the categories, forums, and the description of the forums?

SMF v1.x: style.css, in the theme's directory.

SMF v2.x: index.css, in the "css" directory, which is inside the theme's directory.

I'm aware of how to change the general size/color/font of the text using index.css but what I can't find is the code that applies to the "recent posts" list at the bottom of the forum.

Can anyone direct me to it? I'm wanting to make the text slightly smaller than what it is currently on my forum.
