[HELP] News not displaying in modified theme

News bar not displaying anywhere (mostly it should have been displayed at top) when applied new theme to my forum.

Which file to edit and which string to edit ?

Also, how to remove the smf logo in Core theme ? I deleted the smf logo from the server. Now its displaying corrupt image. How to rectify this ?

Admin/Current Theme.

Check the box for "Show news fader on board index:"

As far as the other, since you are using SMF 2.0 the Core theme is not required and can be removed completely.

Note: Do not mistake the Core theme from the Curve theme as the Curve theme is required and must remain.

You can delete it from the theme you are using, but you can also just insert an empty space in Admin -> Current theme ->"Site slogan".
A site slogan will replace the image.
