problem with edit topic

we have problem with edit topic we see error
server has gone away
we are working on SMF 1.1.9
and Our host he tell us contact to simplemachines there load of SMF

How you Can Help me ?

I would recommend finding a better host though. If they send you here for something that's a problem at their end, then they really don't know what they're doing.

if Writing and send topic Between 2000 : 3000 Or 20000 Character in vbulletin it's working fine without any problem.

if Writing and send topic Between 2000 : 3000 Character in SMF it's give server has gone away or (Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage)

What do you see and how you can help me?

HostGator & i have try it on othere host with me on Godady we have this Issue on two Host and I'm try it on my pc by xampp it's working fine but verey slow with send topic

well those are both oversold hosts you will have issues, try a host that is not oversold

and i have dealt with many people with those hosts and other oversold hosts they move to a new host and all their problems go away. you can ignore my advice if you want but you will not get your issue solved on your current host.

no i have read your issue it is a server side issue, or a server that is not configured correctly and no i dont have those replies stored somewhere to copy/paste

I just used send topic function on xmapp and hasn't seen any delay etc. Even the forum load was pretty stable.

Also upgrade your forum to SMF 1.1.14.


And for sure find a nice decent host.

I'm Sure you are using a new installation and small database size.

Also upgrade your forum to SMF 1.1.14.

I Have upgrade it now to SMF 2.0 Gold released without any new!

And for sure find a nice decent host.

check the hosting board here, all those hosts are decent hosts and not oversold.
