Sounds like a database issue.

Such as you have /smf/tracker as the path.
Have you checked that all paths are correct in
Admin -> Configuration -> Server Settings -> Database and Paths
?

To be honest with you I don't fully understand your problem.
It would be best if you could give me a link to your forum and instructions to re-create the problem then I can asses it from there.

you mean you are trying to send a pm not to a user but to an email address? you cant do that. a pm is meant to be sent to the users name registered on the forum not to their email address.

umm actually,i think i have another problem.in my forum under welcome/welcome to ruletheonlinecompition.com/
i have a welcome message with a "if problems email".when you click on that email.it goes to the mailto.how do i change/fix this to go to regular email?

Illori

your browser decides what to use when an email address is found on a website not the website unless they have an email form that hides the email address.

This is because in the SMF2-config.php you have the directory set as /curefd/tracker/smf

So this means that all your links will look like this.
EG:  << This is the URL Equivalent of the file path
Any folders after "html" dir will be in your link address.. IE

You have /smf in your SMF2-config.php script as your directory, remove the smf from these locations if your forum is not in the SMF Directory

By looking at things, your forum is in the SMF dir.. I not sure about changing what's in the email.
